Windows release that adds JSON and SVG previews, highlights code in Markdown previews and scrolls Split view both ways.
Highlights
- JSON files have a Preview view that shows a collapsible tree. Comments and trailing commas are accepted, and invalid JSON shows the parser's error message
- SVG files have a Preview view that shows the drawing. Scripts inside the SVG never run
- Markdown previews highlight fenced code blocks in the editor's own colours, and show GitHub-style alerts such as
> [!NOTE]and> [!WARNING]as coloured callouts - Markdown previews show images with relative paths from your disk, within the file's Git repository or, outside a repository, its folder. Images from the internet are not loaded
- In Split view, scrolling either side now scrolls the other to the matching position
- Each file type remembers its own view, so picking Preview for Markdown no longer changes how JSON files open
- CSV and TSV previews now use the same preview engine as Markdown
- Scrollbars throughout the app have a slimmer look that matches the light or dark theme
Requirements
- Windows 10 version 1809 or later (build 17763)
- 64-bit (win-x64) self-contained installer-free executable
- Previews need the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is included in Windows 11 and in updated Windows 10
Notes
Installed copies of 1.1.5 and earlier cannot verify this update, because they trust the previous signing key. Download 1.1.10 once from this page and replace your copy. Copies of 1.1.7 and later update from inside the application as usual.
This release is distributed as an unsigned executable. Verify the published SHA-256 checksum before running. Auto-update trust comes from the separately signed stable manifest, not Authenticode on the executable.
