Windows release that shows Markdown and CSV previews inside the file's own tab, with Source, Split and Preview views.
Highlights
- Markdown and CSV/TSV tabs have three views: Source, Split and Preview. A preview no longer opens as a second
[Preview]tab - Split view shows the text and the rendered preview side by side. The preview updates as you type and scrolls with the editor
- Switch views with the buttons on the tab, the tab context menu, or
Ctrl+Shift+P, which cycles Source, Split and Preview - Newly opened Markdown and CSV files use the view you picked last, even after a restart. This replaces the Auto-open preview for Markdown and CSV files option in Preferences
- Each tab remembers its view, and restoring a session brings it back. Files in Large File Mode always open in Source view
Requirements
- Windows 10 version 1809 or later (build 17763)
- 64-bit (win-x64) self-contained installer-free executable
- The Markdown preview needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is included in Windows 11 and in updated Windows 10
Notes
Installed copies of 1.1.5 and earlier cannot verify this update, because they trust the previous signing key. Download 1.1.9 once from this page and replace your copy. Copies of 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 update from inside the application as usual.
This release is distributed as an unsigned executable. Verify the published SHA-256 checksum before running. Auto-update trust comes from the separately signed stable manifest, not Authenticode on the executable.
